Paper companions for a token issue
When a redeemable print arrives, how we match stock, deckle, and wall text so the paper does not argue with the screen.
Some Black Panther NFT comic variants include a redeemable print. The paper that arrives is rarely the paper that looks right beside a gold-rule cover. Stock can be too white, too glossy, or trimmed so the deckle that collectors expect is missing.
When we make a studio companion, we match the cover’s court purple, not the interior’s night blues, unless the brief says otherwise. Cotton rag, deckle left raw, wall text on a separate card so the print is not captioned like a textbook. These companions are Bytework Grid work. They are not Marvel pages and we will not let them be framed as such.
If the redeemable already exists, we still write a stock note in the dossier: weight, brightness, whether the ink sits on the surface. Insurers have asked for that more than once. A photograph of the print on a sofa does not answer them.
